Ambassador Debora Lepre today presented her credentials to the Director-General of UNIDO, Gerd Müller. Italy is by far one of the largest supporters of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation: third largest contributor in terms of total financial resources, more than 30 projects under implementation and definition, a recognised capacity to implement innovative projects within the framework of Italian development cooperation.
With DG Müller, Italy shares the vision of international cooperation as a fundamental element of stability, peace and prosperity. During the meeting, major attention was dedicated to the upcoming Italian presidency of the G7, to food and technology security, and to partnerships with developing countries.
