The new application period for the IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme for academic years 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 is now open.

With the aim of encouraging young female students to pursue nuclear-related university master programmes, the initiative foresees the awarding of scholarships to partially cover the tuition costs (up to 20,000 euros/year) as well as the living costs of the selected candidates. Upon completion of the master programme, the fellows are also given the opportunity to do an internship at the IAEA or at partner public or private entities. Since its launch in 2020, 760 students from 129 Member States have benefited from the initiative.
