The President of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region, Debora Serracchiani, participated in the opening ceremony of the 2nd edition of the Forum “Bridge for Cities – Belt and Road Initiative: Developing Green Economies for Cities”, promoted by UNIDO and the Finance enter for South – South Cooperation from 26 to 28 September 2017 in Vienna.
In her speech, President Serracchiani illustrated the initiatives of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region for the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, focusing on urban industrial development (http://www.presidente.regione.fvg.it/debora/serracchiani/notizie/comunicati-stampa/dettaglio.html?det=102921).
President Serracchiani, together with Ambassador Accili and Director of UNIDO’s Office in Rome Ms Battaggia, had two bilateral meetings with the Director General of UNIDO, Li Yong, and the President of the Financial Centre for South-South Cooperation, Cai E-Sheng, to discuss future cooperation considering also the role of the city of Trieste in the One Belt One Road initiative (http://www.presidente.regione.fvg.it/debora/serracchiani/notizie/comunicati-stampa/dettaglio.html?det=102920).
