Ambassador Debora Lepre today presented the credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office in Vienna and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Ghada Waly.
The meeting provided an opportunity to reiterate Italy’s full support for effective multilateralism and the international rules-based system in the face of growing global challenges. In this regard, Ambassador Lepre expressed strong appreciation for UNODC’s leading role in preventing and combating organised crime, corruption, terrorism and drug trafficking. Together with Executive Director Waly, they discussed the main areas of action and new projects in the framework of the excellent cooperation between Italy and the UNODC.
