From 16 to 20 October 2015 the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI – UN Association for Italy) in partnership with the Unites States Diplomatic Missions in Italy, and together with the Students’ Movement for International Organization (MSOI/UNYA – Italy) will launch ROMUN2015.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the United Nations and 60th anniversary of Italy’s membership of the United Nations, this new edition of ROMUN (Rome United Nations Model) shall provide young participants from all over the world the unique opportunity to discuss some of the main challenges in the field of international relations, with a special focus on Sustainable Development Goals.
ROMUN2015 will close with a visit to EXPO Milano 2015 and the adoption of the “Youth Road Map” on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, to be delivered to the Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon. More than 500 talented young participants representing colleges, universities, and graduate schools will be attending ROMUN2015. Registrations are open for delegates.
