The first IAEA “ARTEMIS” peer review mission (Integrated Review Service for Radioactive Waste and Spent Fuel Management, Decommissioning and Remediation) took place in Italy from 3 to 13 July 2017.
The “ARTEMIS” peer review mission assessed the Italian decommissioning programme of nuclear sites and radioactive waste management.
The team of international experts which carried out the IAEA mission acknowledged the Italian commitment in conducting the decommissioning activities in an efficient, safe and secure manner, while identifying areas of potential improvement.
