The Permanent Representative of Italy to the International Organizations in Vienna, Ambassador Alessandro Cortese, presented today his credentials to the Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO Preparatory Commission), Dr. Lassina Zerbo.
On this occasion, Ambassador Cortese reaffirmed Italy’s commitment to the CTBT and its universalization, and its support to to the work performed by the Provisional Technical Secretariat to ensure the completion and the full operability of the verification regime even prior to the Treaty’s entry into force.
