A renewed collaboration arrangement for training activities in the framework of technical cooperation between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Italian Association for Non-Destructive Testing (AIPnD) was signed yesterday by IAEA Deputy Director General for Technical Cooperation Hua Liu and AIPnD President Ezio Tuberosa, in the presence of Ambassador Debora Lepre, Permanent Representative of Italy to the International Organisations in Vienna.
The Italian Association for Non-Destructive Testing, based in Brescia, has been active since 1979 in promoting scientific and technical knowledge and technological development of non-destructive testing through information and education.
AIPnD contributes to initiatives within the technical cooperation programme of the IAEA, by providing training, consutancies e innovation in the use of non-destructive testing or heritage conservation, disaster prevention, environmental protection and improvement of human health.
