The High-Level Event, whose panel included, among others, the Executive Director of UNODC, Ghada Waly, and Ambassador Debora Lepre, Permanent Representative of Italy, represented the culmination of a month of preparatory initiatives &#8211; launched in October by the XII session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC-CoP) -, the first of which was the exhibition \u201cCooperation in the fight against transnational organised crime \u2013 Italy\u2019s experience\u201d, inaugurated on the margins of UNTOC-CoP, and which illustrated Italy\u2019s experience in the fight against transnational organized crime.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Last 15 November 2024, a High-Level Event has been held at the United Nations in Vienna to celebrate the First International Day against Transnational Organized Crime, established this year, at the initiative of Italy, with a resolution of the General Assembly.
