With regard to accreditation to the United Nations Office at Vienna and to the international organizations based in Vienna, please follow the instructions provided directly by the United Nations Information Service at Vienna.

The accreditation procedure for the Vienna International Centre (VIC) is reserved for professional journalists working for recognised media outlets and is available in two main forms: temporary accreditation for coverage of individual events, and annual accreditation for ongoing access.

In both cases, an application must be submitted — by email for event-based accreditation or via an online form for annual accreditation — together with documentation proving journalistic activity (such as an official letter from the employing organisation, a press card, an identity document, and recent evidence of work carried out). The application is reviewed by the United Nations Information Service Vienna, which may request additional information before approval.

Once confirmation is received, the badge must be collected in person at the VIC Security Pass Office. Accreditation is free of charge, personal, and subject to renewal in the case of annual accreditation. For further information, you may contact UNIS at the following address: media.unis@un.org.
